response imgSocial responsibilities of Highnoon stem from the founder’s vision of a healthier nation. In the role of a good corporate citizen, Highnoon is fully cognizant of its social obligations. Reaching for the declared vision Highnoon believes on a holistic approach. Highnoon’s contribution is vital to serve the needs of the community that are economically and socially viable, this encompasses fine areas like health, disaster (flood, earthquakes), promoting art & culture, valuing sports, supporting education and social causes for the well-being of the society. Over the years Highnoon has been actively supporting such noble causes.

Highnoon’s major contribution is in thalassemia and we are supporting different thalassemia societies (Thalassemia Society, Fatimid Foundation, Sundus Foundation, Help International Welfare Trust) of Pakistan by providing an iron chelating agent i.e. Feripro Capsule (Deferiprone) to their vulnerable communities for last many years.

Access to affordable medications has become an increasingly important, at Highnoon we believe that everyone deserve access to quality, affordable health care and medications. Our goal is to keep our costs down and continue to look for opportunities that would bring greater value and convenience to customers without compromising on quality of the product. In addition we support other public health awareness initiatives by organizing workshops and seminars on different world health days to raise health awareness and other social problems.

We organize free medical camps at regular intervals in the rural areas for the benefit of needy and poor patients. These camps are arranged to facilitate the people residing in areas where modern medical facilities are either nonexistent or are scarce, the camps include medical checkup, diagnosis and provision of medicines. In addition to donation of free medicines to Government owned Hospitals the company produces a medicine especially for children suffering from rare blood disorders, the medicine is not commercialized and is donated to the various organizations and societies for free distribution to vulnerable patients.

The Company is at the forefront in the area of disaster relief and reconstruction meeting the immediate needs of vulnerable populations by funding the distribution of medical provisions, water, temporary shelters as well as help provision of emergency rations along with, where possible, help restore livelihoods, and help the communities build their resilience for future natural disasters.

Highnoon is also a major contributor in educational activities and we are part of different educational programs in many institutions of Pakistan. We are actively involved in sponsoring a scholarship to Khyber Medical University for the research purpose of their students.

Apart from serving the nation, Management of Highnoon has established a Trust for employees by the name of “JTK Trust (JTKT)”. Funds of the trust are utilized for providing financial support to the needy employees. For this noble cause, all staff members contribute a fixed amount of money on monthly basis and an equal amount is donated by the Company to raise funds for JTKT.
