COMPOSITION:

Each Misar 20 mg contains telmisartan 20mg, Misar 40 mg contains telmisartan 40 mg Misar 80 mg contains telmisartan 80 mg

INDICATIONS:

Treatment of hypertension.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:

Dosage must be individualized. The usual starting dose of telmisartan is 40 mg once a day. Some patients may derive benefit at a daily dose of 20 mg. Blood pressure response is dose-related over the range of 20-80 mg.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to telmisartan.

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS:

The commonly observed side effects are back pain, diarrhea, pharyngitis, headache, dizziness, pain, fatigue and nausea.

PRESENTATION:

Misar 20, 40 and 80 mg are present in the packing of 10s ,

PREGNANCY & LACTATION:

Pregnancy Categories C (first trimester) and D (second and third trimesters) It is not known whether telmisartan is excreted in human milk.
