DESCRIPTION:

BUDEFORM is a potent glucocorticoid has high anti-inflammatory properties and it is used for the treatment of Asthma and COPD.

COMPOSITION:

BUDEFORM 200mcg inhaler contains Budesonide 200mcg suspended in Propellant HFA-134a BUDEFORM 400mcg inhaler contains Budesonide 400mcg suspended in Propellant HFA-134a

INDICATIONS:

Mild to severe persistent asthma. Symptomatic treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:

Adults: 200-1600 mcg daily in divided doses. 200-800 mcg daily is a maintenance dose. Children: 200-800 mcg daily in divided dosses.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

BUDEFORM is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Budesonide or any of the components.

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS:

Following undesirable effects may occur, Common – Mild irritation in the throat, Candida infection in the oropharynx, Hoarseness, Coughing. Rare – Nervousness, Restlessness, Depression, Behavioral disturbances, Skin burning, Rash, Contact dermatitis, Urticaria, angioedema, bronchospasm and anaphylactic reaction.

PRESENTATION:

BUDEFORM Inhaler is available in a canister containing 200 metered doses.

PREGNANCY & LACTATION:

Budesonide has been labeled as pregnancy category B and it should be used during pregnancy only if the expected benefits outweigh the potential risks. Budesonide is excreted in breast milk. However, at therapeutic doses of Budeform, no Budeform related effects on the sucking child are anticipated. The use of Budesonide should only be considered in situations where it is felt that the expected benefits to the mother will outweigh any potential risks to the neonate.

Patients should consult with their physician before taking any medicine.
